- Blender bawang merah, bawang putih, cabe merah, cabe rawit, kunyit, jahe, dan kemiri menggunakan minyak.
- Rebus hati sapi selama 15 menit, masukkan 3 lembar daun salam dan 1 batang sereh (geprek) kedalam rebusan hati sapi.
- Panaskan minyak lalu tuang bumbu halus, tambahkan 3 lembar daun salam, 3 lembar daun jeruk, daun kunyit (ikat), lengkuas dan batang sereh tumis hingga harum.
- Masukkan hati sapi kedalam bumbu halus yang sudah di tumis aduk hingga merata lalu tambahkan santan dan air kemudian aduk rata.
- Tambahkan garam, gula dan penyedap. Aduk-aduk hingga mendidih dengan api sedang, setelah mendidih masukkan kembang lawang lalu kecilkan api hingga airnya menyusut sambil diaduk-aduk hingga kering.
